What resets when you rebirth?

Rebirth in THE TSUNAMI GAME resets cash and speed while keeping your collectibles. The community Mechanics guide establishes those reset and retention rules. The NPCS page's Rebirth 1 hint adds that the loss includes cash at your plot. Check and collect it before deciding how to spend; your retained income-producing items support the next run.

System Rebirth effect or limit What to do
Cash in hand Resets Spend only where the purchase helps your plan
Cash at your plot The NPCS guide's Rebirth 1 hint says it is lost too Check and collect it before deciding how to spend
Speed Resets Do not buy speed expecting it to survive rebirth
Collectibles Retained Improve useful income producers before the reset
Zone access New rarity zones through R6 Use the newly unlocked zone on the next run
Weapons More unlock with progression; purchases are session-bound Plan to buy again after rejoining

Weapon persistence across sessions is a separate rule: the NPCS page says purchased weapons are kept for the current session and must be bought again when rejoining. An unlocked weapon is not the same as a permanently owned copy.

The official R7–R9 descriptions do not name additional rarity tiers. R10's badge says all unlockable content is available; it does not provide a full current list of crossover rewards.

A pre-rebirth spending checklist

  1. Read the current Rebirth panel. Use the requirement shown in your game session, especially after an update.
  2. Check your plot's income and available upgrades. A collectible you retain can support the next run; compare its displayed upgrade cost with its income gain.
  3. Account for cash at your plot. The NPCS guide's Rebirth 1 hint explicitly includes it in the loss and recommends spending before rebirthing.
  4. Avoid a speed purchase made only to store value. Speed resets. Buy it if you need it to finish the current requirement or route.
  5. Confirm, then return to the new zone. Verify the changed rebirth count and the milestone badge rather than assuming the button completed the action.

Example: you are at R5, ready to rebirth, and choosing between extra speed and upgrading a collectible you will keep. If the speed is unnecessary for the current requirement, its reset makes it a poor way to preserve progress. Compare the retained item's upgrade using cost and extra income per second.

R6: a practical goal for Secret Media

R6 opens the Secret zone. It does not itself award SECRET MEDIA: you must collect a Secret and return it safely. The September creator route then uses 2.5× Severity. Follow the full Secret Media walkthrough when you reach this milestone.

R10 and beyond

R10 is a meaningful equipment milestone: the community Armoury list places Ban Hammer, Gatling Gun and Necrowavicon at R10. April boss footage shows the first two at 3T cash, but read today's shop before budgeting from that historical price.

The official description allows infinite rebirths. That does not establish a distinct reward, fixed payout or unique new zone for every rebirth above ten. High-rebirth videos show that players continue; they cannot supply a universal current speed or cash table.

For The Battle Bricks crossover, keep two goals separate. SECRET MEDIA supports the AFE access route. September Pelican footage separately shows a penalty when trying a summon without R10. Neither is evidence that every badge is required simply to enter AFE. See the crossover boundaries.

Are the old fast-rebirth videos still useful?

Use them to understand routes or combat, with their upload dates in mind. The April 7 ryleys video now describes itself as potentially outdated. Its large PvP cash figures and kill-count estimate are not a verified current farming formula. No guaranteed “R10 in X minutes” claim is supported here.
